Module 1

MODULE 1

During my trip to Kroger, I found the following herbs…

DILL

Dill is known to be useful as an anti-disease herb and have antioxidant properties.  It has healing components of monoterpenes and flavonoids.  Module 1 discusses how people rely on natural sources for remedies.  For example, a smoker, who would have high levels of oxidants, would benefit from dill.

CILANTRO

Module 1 discusses herbs and the human experience with them in the modern world.  Cilantro has essential oils, which Module 1 also touches on, that make it healthy and they have antioxidant properties. Cilantro is used commonly in dishes, especially Mexican dishes.

MINT

Module 1 describes how some herbs can be used to make teas and Native American Indians often practiced this.  Mint can be used in tea and helps with digestion and inflammation.  It can soothe the stomach.
